Deep Retrofit Rebate — Whitby

Fully stackable with Durham Region’s Deep Retrofit Rebate

Available to Whitby residents only

Administered through the Durham Greener Homes program, the Town of Whitby is mirroring Durham Region’s incentives available for deep energy retrofits.

The Town of Whitby’s rebate is fully stackable with Durham Region’s Deep Retrofit Rebate, doubling Durham Greener Home’s deep retrofit incentives for Whitby residents up to a maximum of $10,000.

Whitby residents may receive an incentive for reducing their Energy Use (Gigajoules/year) by at least 50 percent between pre- and post-retrofit EnerGuide evaluations.

Energy use reduction

$2,500 to $5,000 for achieving 50 percent or greater energy use reduction between modelled results from pre- and post-retrofit EnerGuide evaluations.

Incentives increase by $50 for every 1 percent of energy use reduced over 50 percent.

Whitby residents can combine the Whitby Deep Retrofit Rebate with Durham Region's Deep Retrofit Rebate and double their incentive amount.
