I got brand new windows, a new heat pump, new air conditioning, a new air handler, and attic insulation; and I was able to do it all with an interest-free loan, so financially it really made a lot of sense, and ended up putting a ton of value back into my house, as well as enjoyment and comfort. My advice to other Durham residents is to get into the program as quickly as possible, especially if you have an older home, there are significant improvements that you can make to your house that are really going to be of great value to you and come at a great price, and you will enjoy your house more and you'll be adding value to your home.
